Cooperation Talks
Li Qianwen welcomed the delegation on behalf of the University and reviewed the long-standing, practical cooperation between the two institutions. He noted that the Financial Auditing program — a Sino-British joint education program with mutual credit recognition, established by the two universities in 2026 — had completed the enrollment of its first cohort of 30 students, marking a new stage in their cooperation.Zhao Ningru, Executive Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics and Finance, presented the joint education programs that the Institute plans to develop with Queen's University Belfast, together with its plans to apply for China Scholarship Council (CSC) programs. Gordon Brown showed strong interest in the proposals. After discussion, both sides agreed that, building on the sound cooperation already in place, they should further expand the areas of cooperation and raise the level of collaboration so as to achieve mutual benefit.
Meeting the First Cohort
After the meeting, the delegation met with student representatives of the Class of 2026 in the Financial Auditing Sino-British class and answered their questions about studying and living at Queen's University Belfast, the curriculum, and career development.
