On 24 November, Mr. Yan Changde, Section Chief of the Operations Management Department of the People's Bank of China Nanjing Branch, was invited to deliver a lecture titled "Credit Reporting: Fundamentals and Industry Outlook" for NAU students in the lecture hall on the first floor of Zhiming Building.

Mr. Yan Changde gave a detailed introduction to the concept of credit reporting; the development history of the credit reporting business in China; the role and impact of the credit reporting business on the economy and society; the credit reporting rights enjoyed by information subjects; and how students can maintain a good credit record. He also analysed future development trends in the credit reporting industry, including the impact of credit rating on national financial security and how to strengthen China's voice in the field of international credit rating. Finally, Mr. Yan Changde held an interactive Q&A session with the audience on credit reporting knowledge and distributed credit reporting information brochures and souvenirs to the participants.
Section Chief Yan Changde currently works in the credit reporting management post of the Operations Management Department of the People's Bank of China Nanjing Branch, where he is mainly responsible for local credit system development, credit reporting market management, and the central bank's internal (enterprise) rating work. He has extensive practical experience in credit reporting and has conducted fairly in-depth research on areas such as the development of local credit reporting platforms in China and credit rating for agricultural business entities, and has provided useful suggestions for the establishment of a local enterprise credit reporting company in Nanjing.
To further advance the development of the social credit system, effectively strengthen integrity education in schools, popularise credit reporting knowledge, lay the foundation for fostering an honest campus environment, building an honest society and a trustworthy nation, and cultivate a sound social atmosphere in which "everyone understands credit reporting and everyone values integrity", the Institute of Economics and Finance co-organised this lecture with the NAU Jiusan Society Branch. This lecture was the fourteenth session of the Institute's Caizhi Elite Forum and the first in the Institute's "Credit Reporting on Campus" series. It was chaired by Ms. Tian Yuan, Director of the Institute's Student Affairs Committee, and attended by more than one hundred students from across the university. Going forward, the Institute will continue to invite outstanding professionals from various industries to deliver lectures on credit reporting knowledge for students.
